Alexander J. Lapinski, Esq., Colonel, U.S.M.C. retired, passed away on November 19, 2014 in Queens, NY

Mr. Lapinski was the eldest of five sons of Alexander and Maryanna Orzechowski Lapinski. He was a member of the 1949 graduating class of Exeter High School (Pa.) where he excelled in basketball, football and baseball, earning a basketball scholarship to King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. He subsequently transferred to St. John’s University in Brooklyn, NY where he earned his B.A. degree. He then served several years on active duty as an officer in the U.S.M.C.

After his separation from active duty he earned his Law degree from Brooklyn Law School and embarked on a distinguished career in the practice of Law for more than 40 years.

He was predeceased by his parents and brother Joseph J.

He is survived by his partner Nijole, brother Frank (Julie) , Paul, and John (Deborah)

Colonel Lapinski will be laid to rest with full military honors, in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia. Visiting Hours will be 2 to 4 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M. on December 3 rd, 2014 at the Kodis Funeral Home – 63-06 Flushing Ave. , Maspeth, New York
