Queens (24-4) will take on the seventh-seeded Assumption College Greyhounds (19-8) in the opening round on March 10 at Adelphi University in Garden City.
The Knights are the only team in the region to have made the tournament in each of the last three seasons. Queens was one of three East Coast Conference (ECC) teams in the region, as fellow members Molloy College and NYIT earned spots as well.
Bentley University, Caldwell University and University of the Sciences rounded out the region.
Queens has already tied the program record with 24 wins this season and ended the regular season with 16 straight wins to claim the ECC Regular Season Championship.
Senior Madison Rowland, who leads the nation in steals per game, was named ECC Player of the Year, while redshirt senior MacKenzie Rowland was chosen as the league’s Defensive Player of the Year, and head coach Elizabeth Naumovski was voted ECC Coach of the Year.
For Madison, it is her second ECC Player of the Year honor, previously earning the accolade during the 2014-15 season as a sophomore. She was also named Defensive Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year during the 2013-14 season.
An All-ECC First Team selection as well, Madison garnered first team honors in each of her four seasons with the Knights. She became the career leader in points and steals for both Queens College and the ECC this season.
