Lois A. Keen passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the age of 76. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert E. She was the loving mother of Karen Sisk, Robin Fleichman, Donna Marino, Ray Keen, Debra Carroll, Kelly DeQuatro, and Tracy Sellers. She was the cherished Grandmother of 17 Grandchildren. She was the dear sister of Carol Coppola and Joan Schwarz. Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Our Lady of Hope Church on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 10:30 AM. Interment followed at St. John’s Cemetery in Middle Village, NY under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Avenue, Maspeth, NY 11378. www.papaverofuneralhome.com

Grandma Lois. She always made me smile and laugh. I loved it when she came out in the summers. I miss her accent on the phone, how my mom used to send her books to read....like within 10 minutes, how she sang on the phone "Happy Birthday" to me when it was my birthday. This all came so fast... Whenever I think of my grandma..I pray for her. I just wish that the last time I saw her in 2008..wasn't the last hug or kiss she gave me. Grandma Lois had a special place in her heart for each and every one of her 17 grandchildren. I love her and miss her soo very much! (: My favorite color is purple now. When I heard the news..that she pasted...I didn't show heart breaking emotion..but I felt it inside. I am glad that she is out of pain and misery and with her husband, father, and mother. Lois A. Keen will be forever missed and loved. I love you grandma! :D <3

I wish the obituary told of my Mother's Sense of humor, how she loved to laugh and smile. I wish it told of how she had a ravenous appetite for books.. and was a master of crossword puzzles. I wish it told of the countless hours watching mets baseball with my grandmother. I wish it told of her extrememly generous nature.I wish it told of the insane close bond she had with her twin sister, Carol. I wish it told how much we are all going to miss her.
